​Megan Hall is the author of Sutherland and Smothered. Under the name Megan Cassidy, she also writes books for young adults and children including Always, Jessie, The Misadventures of Marvin Miller and the Songs My Mother Taught Me series.

The recipient of the State University of New York (SUNY) Chancellor's Award for Excellence in Scholarship and Creative Activities, Megan's poetry and short stories have been featured in numerous publications including Bete Noire, Silver Blade, Pilcrow & Dagger, and Centum Press's One Hundred Voices.

In addition to writing, Megan works as an English professor, teaching a variety of courses including Creative Writing, Rhetoric and Composition, Literature and Identity, and Children’s Literature. She previously worked as a developmental editor at 50/50 Press, and was a featured Indie Insights speaker at Book Expo and Book Con.

Megan lives in the mountains of upstate New York with her husband Stephen and their hound dog. She is available for book club discussions, podcasts, lectures, workshops, readings, and signings.
